DRINKING JAPANESE TEA
RELAXING
Tea contains alot of theanine, and teas with an accentuated sweetness in the high quality Sencha and Gyokuro when is steeping in about 70C warm water.
AFTER EATING HIGH CALORIE OR OILY FOOD
To refresh the palate, Hojicha or Bancha is suitable. In order to lower the cholestrol levels, green tea with high catechin will be suitable and best to prepare in hot water, achieve best result.
CURING INTOXICATION
To increase the stimulant effect of caffeine, high quality of Sencha best to steeped in hot water. Caffeine also acts as a diluretic and to help to speed up the discharge of alcohol from the body. Mixing alcohol with tea catechins helps to lower the concentration of alcohol in the blood and to prevent hangovers.
WORKOUT
High quality Sencha contains a lot of caffeine which can stimulant. Steep Sencha in about 90C water and drink 20-30 minutes before workout.
AGAINST COLDS AND PREVENT INFLUSENZA
To drink or gargling with green tea is better especially for coughs. Because catechin in the green tea is highly effective at killing bacteria and other virus which causes inflammation and pain in your throat. So it works for sore throat and get rid of them and also includes a lot of vitamin C.
REHYDRATING AFTER SWEATING HEAVILY
For rehydrating, teas such as cold brew Hojicha or Bancha are receommended.
AT WORK OR MEETINGS
The caffeine in green tea will help to keep alert and still awake. High quality Sencha prepared with hot water is receommneded.
EMPTY STOMACH
Tea with rich caffeine and catechin may be best to drink after consumed food. Weaker brewed teas are more suitable for empty stomach.
BEFORE BEDTIME
Since there is caffeine it is recommended to use halof the amount of the tea leaves, or use a lower caffeine tea such as Genmaicha, Hojicha or Bancha.
